General Information About Us
Romed Ambulance is a privately owned ambulance service, established in 2001 for the purpose of providing quality ambulance transportation services in the Delaware Valley. The company is licensed by both Pennsylvania and the New Jersey Department of Health. The company is a participating provider for Medicare, PA and NJ Medicaid, and works with all local HMO’s, Workman’s Comp., and other insurance companies.
Romed Ambulance uses only the newest and best equipment available to insure patients comfort and safety during transport. Each of the vehicles is equipped with GPS AVL (Automatic Vehicle Locator) which provides the dispatcher with live location of each vehicle. This allows the dispatchers to send the closest crew to the call, as well as monitor vehicles route, speed and safety. The crews are dispatched via electronic text to eliminate errors associated with verbal radio communications.
Our staff is held to the highest standards in professionalism and training. We emphasize continual education and constant advancement in professional knowledge and skills, as well as participate in MCI (mass casualty incident) and terrorism drills in our region.
